    Our Cashier must be prepared to amaze! The Cashier is responsible for answering phones and accurately taking and ringing in orders for pickup and delivery, packing food to Sushi Zushi’s standards, cash handling, and assisting delivery drivers. The Cashier must demonstrate complete knowledge of food and beverage menus, provide our guests with the most enjoyable experience when it comes to pickup and delivery.

    Duties and Responsibilities:


    • Greet guests with “Irrashaimase” in a courteous and professional manner as they enter and exit restaurant and assist with seating as needed
    • Manage Delivery and Take-Out area by taking orders from guests by phone, online, or in person
    • Possess a professional and friendly attitude over the phone
    • Call guests to confirm all online orders
    • Accurately quote wait times for delivery and to-go orders
    • Ensure that all orders are entered correctly and packed according to standards with the same quality that is produced in the dining room
    • Ensure an accurate accounting of all transactions, collections, and disbursements during the shift
    • Collect cash or charge payments
    • Count cash at the beginning, switching, and end of the shift to verify accuracy
    • Reconcile cash drawer and prepare drawer for deposit
    • Maintain the cleanliness of the Delivery and Take-Out area
    • Follow all food safety and other sanitation rules/regulations
    • Attend all required Kaizen Training events and/or staff meetings
    • Follow SZ standards of performance and service
    • Follow SZ Philosophy, Policies, and Procedures
    • Is committed to bring all guests The Joy of Sushi
    • Perform other duties as assigned by Management

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:
    • Excellent communication skills
    • High School Diploma or GED preferred
    • Experience with customer service and cash handling
    • Food Handler’s certification required prior to training
    • Strong organizational skills; ability to manage priorities and workflow
    • Professional and caring demeanor
    • Ability to work with constantly changing priorities
    • Bilingual skills a plus

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
    • Stand and walk for long periods of time
    • Lift and move up to 30 pounds
    • Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
