    Our Bartender must be prepared to amaze! This is accomplished by being responsible for providing high quality customer service by ensuring timely and proficient bar service to guests and wait staff. This is achieved by adhering to company standards and policies for maintaining the bar through the accurate accounting of all transactions and bar inventory, and demonstrating complete knowledge of food and beverage menus.

    Responsibilities

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Greet guests with “Irrashaimase” in a courteous and professional manner as they enter and exit restaurant and assist with seating as needed
    • Maintain a complete working knowledge of the food and beverage menus and daily specials
    • Stock bar with all necessary supplies and prepare all bar mixes and garnishes prior to opening
    • Answer questions regarding food and beverage items
    • Use suggestive selling to assist and guide the guests in making their selections
    • Take food and beverage orders accurately, repeating for correctness
    • Serve all food and beverage items according to SZ Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
    • Ensure beverage orders are made and delivered to the guest’s table within the six minute requirement
    • Makes beverages for guests utilizing proper recipes, glassware, and garnishes
    • Prepare beverages for wait staff
    • Handles purchasing transactions, which include operating cash register and accounting of daily sales
    • Answers phone in a courteous and timely manner
    • Observe all guests to ensure total customer satisfaction with the food and service, respond to additional requests, and determine when the meal has been completed
    • Accurately enters tickets for food and beverage items into the POS system
    • Coordinate with kitchen staff to clarify any special requests
    • Resolves guest’s dissatisfaction/complaints, utilize best judgment, or refer to Management if needed
    • Strictly abide by TABC liquor regulations
    • Review food order for accuracy and presentation prior to delivering to the guest
    • Coordinate with kitchen staff to rectify any deficiencies
    • Receive payment from guests, make change as needed, and issue receipts
    • Clear and reset tables and bar as needed
    • Assist other staff members as needed to ensure optimum service to all guests
    • Complete assigned side work during and at the end of each shift
    • Ensure that the FIFO (First In, First Out) system is adhered to in the stocking of all products
    • Complete all necessary paperwork and declare all tips at the end of each shift
    • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation at all times
    • Follow all food safety and other sanitation rules/regulations
    • Attend all required Kaizen Training events and/or staff meetings
    • Follow SZ standards of performance and service
    • Follow SZ Philosophy, Policies, and Procedures

    • Perform other duties as assigned by Management

     

    Qualifications


    Qualifications:
    • Current TABC certification required
    • Current Food Handler’s certification required
    • Previous experience in a bar setting required
    • Excellent communication skills
    • High School Diploma or GED preferred
    • Professional and caring demeanor

     

    Physical Requirements:
    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
